The Tancy model TBQ meter is a short body turbine meter, approved for internal uncontrolled measurements, and is based on the velocimetric measurement principle. The gas flow passes through the meter body which has an internal nose to accelerate the flow. In the narrowest part of the high-speed region, a rotor with specially designed blades stands in the way to take part of that speed energy and transform it into a rotational movement that responds linearly to the drained volume.
