The Fault Detectors are designed to indicate the passage of a short-circuit current in conductors of Medium Voltage overhead lines. They are used to detect the fault current signaling the shortest path from the generation to the fault itself.

  • Permanent fault indication by three ultra-bright flashing red LEDs.
  • Transient fault indication via three ultra-bright glow green LEDs.
  • Ground fault indication by ultra-bright red and green LEDs that flash alternately.
  • Internal lithium battery with a useful life of 10 years.
  • Working voltage: up to 38 kV.
  • Working current: 0 to 1200A.
  • Maximum impulse current: 31,5 kA for 2sec.
  • Degree of protection: IP68.
  • Short Circuit Trip Current: Adjustable, 1A steps.
  • Ground fault voltage drop: Adjustable in 1% steps.
  • Ground fault response delay: Adjustable in 1sec steps.
