Those of us who make up MYEEL want to send a big greeting and a fraternal hug to all the cooperatives in the country and their members on this July 7, 2018.
We recall that the UN (United Nations General Assembly) meeting on December 16th decided to proclamation of the International Day of Cooperatives to be celebrated every year. This date was chosen to commemorate the centenary of the International Cooperative Alliance formed by more than 760 million members from 100 countries.
Among the main objectives that are tried to achieve on the International Day of Cooperatives are:
• Create and increase awareness about cooperatives
• Highlight the different solutions provided by the United Nations
• Increase partnerships between the international movement and governments globally.
The motto in this year 2018 is:

The theme for the 2018 International Day of Cooperatives (IDC) is sustainable consumption and production, creating an opportunity for cooperatives to show how they run successful businesses while respecting our natural environment and the resources it offers.
